Victorian aesthetic movement black and gilt japanned papier-mache tray of rounded rectangular form. The all-over decoration of fanciful butterflys and floral sprays within a gilded line border. The rear stencilled manufacturer's mark inscribed "Club Fine" and a diamond registration mark of March 6, 1875, probably of Henry Loveridge and Company.
