Flat sided rectangular table supported on four straight legs. The table is fitted with a single frieze drawer shaped along the lower edge and centered with a rectangular veneered panel of ebony, edged with double filets of ebony and satinwood and banded with satinwood.

The table top is veneered with fret marquetry of ebony and satinwood interrupted in the center by an oval reserve veneered in satinwood. Click here to see full gallery view, or click to see detail of top.

The four sides are each inlaid on a sunken rectangular reserve with a veneered panel of ebony edged with double filets of satinwood and ebony and banded with satinwood. The legs, veneered with satinwood, are edged on each side with a tapering ebony fillet. The shoes are square in section and of gilt metal.

The carcase is of farm-raised poplar; the drawer and drawer linings are of farm-raised white oak.
