Flat sided rectangular table supported on four straight legs, square in section with indented corners. The table is fitted with a single drawer shaped along the lower edge and centered with a rectangular veneered panel of mahogany, edged with double filets of ebony and satinwood and banded with ebony.

The table top is veneered with fret marquetry of satinwood and ebony interrupted in the center by an oval reserve veneered in ebony. Click to see detail of top.

The four sides are each inlaid on a sunken rectangular reserve with a veneered panel of mahogany edged with double filets of ebony and satinwood and banded with ebony. The legs, veneered with ebony, are edged on each side with a tapering satinwood fillet. The shoes are square in section and of gilt metal.

The carcase is of farm-raised poplar; the drawer and drawer linings are of farm-raised white oak.
