George II Style Mahogany Wine Table, in the Chippendale Manner
George II style mahogany wine table, in the Chippendale manner. The scalloped dished top surmounts a carved baluster stem, terminating in carved cabriole legs. The design of the table bears a strong relationship to the teakettle stand illustrated in plate LV of the 1754 edition of Chippendale’s Director.
