Italian Faux Tortoise Shell Wall Mirror of Large Size

Italian faux tortoise shell wall mirror of large size. The rectangular frame painted to imitate tortoise shell, with neoclassical gilt enrichments, and gilt baldachin cresting. The corners with cabochons painted to imitate agate. The rectangular plate slightly foxed and probably original to the mirror.
