George III Mahogany and Crossbanded Sideboard of Sheraton Design. Sideboard has a breakfronted outline highlighted with crossbanding and ebony stringing, with deep drawers to the sides, a shallow cutlery drawer above, and a slide tambour napery drawer below. The tapering, boxwood strung legs terminate in spade feet. The sideboard is certainly related in design to that pictured in plate 26 of the 1792 edition of Thomas Sheraton's The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book.
