The seat rail is supported on two curule legs formed by S-shaped members joined in the center by a turned wooden spindle terminating at either end in a stylized gilt metal rosette. The legs are carved above the feet with prominent hand gilded acanthus leaves, crowned by an Ionic capital, and rest on hoof feet with carved 'C' scrolls behind.
The frame is constructed of farm-raised poplar.
The stool has been designed to be viewed from all vantage points and is built to a particularly large scale. Click here to see a three-quarter view.
