A pair of George III period giltwood pier tables of a large size. The tables of demilune, breakfront outline with a gilt foliate frieze of acanthus and palmette motif, with the leg capitals topped with paterae. The fluted, tapering legs terminate in toupie feet. The tops are composed of well-figured satinwood, crossbanded in rosewood, separated with ebony and boxwood stringing. Please click to see detail image.
