George III painted and gilt triple chairback settee. The frame is decorated overall with simulated rosewood graining. The chairbacks with scrolling X-shaped splats centered by paterae, and surmounted by tablets painted with musical and hunting trophies. The caned seat with a buttoned silk squab is flanked by open arms. The seat rail is decorated by tablets, above ring-turned legs headed by paterae and joined by X-shaped stretchers.
